YAMAHA TECHNICIAN – SOUTHPORT SERVICE CENTER

The duties of the service technician are listed below and the qualified candidate will have some skill, experience, competency, education, or ability to learn skills in the following pertinent areas:

  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to our business practices and software
  • Experience and/or certification with Yamaha Outboards
  • Experience and/or certification with Garmin marine electronics
  • Prior boating knowledge and ability to operate a boat
  • Ability to diagnose and repair other boat systems commonly found on outboard boats under 40 feet
  • Ability to maintain a clean working environment
  • Required: Active Driver License and reliable transportation

This is a full-time position with benefits, including health care insurance, retirement contribution matching with a SIMPLE IRA, and paid time off. This position will require some work on weekends.   • Boat washing and pressure washing
  • Boat bottom painting
  • Assist technicians with repairs and installations

Boat Rigging Technician - Wilmington Service Center

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Boat Rigging Technician to join our team at the Wilmington Service Center. The ideal candidate will have experience in boat rigging, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to quickly adapt to new challenges and technologies. Key responsibilities and qualifications include:

Responsibilities:

  • Rig boats with necessary systems, including engines, electronics, and other accessories, ensuring all components are correctly installed and fully functional.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and team members to meet deadlines and provide high-quality service.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to rigging and boat systems.
  • Ensure proper documentation of installations, repairs, and any service work completed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Follow safety procedures and industry best practices during all tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with boat rigging, engine installations, or marine electronics preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of boat systems, including electrical, mechanical, and electronic components.
  • Experience and/or certification with Yamaha Outboards.
  • Experience and/or certification with Garmin Marine Electronics.
  • Prior boating knowledge and ability to operate a boat.

Forklift Operator - Wilmington Service Center

We are seeking a qualified Forklift Operator to join our team at the Wilmington Service Center. The ideal candidate will possess relevant skills, experience, and the ability to quickly adapt to new challenges and workplace practices. Key responsibilities and qualifications include:

Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to load, unload, and move boats from storage racks to trailers.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure it is operating safely and efficiently.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist with inventory management by tracking materials and supplies.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to support daily operations and meet deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications:

  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain certification upon hire).
  • Previous experience operating forklifts or heavy machinery preferred.

Pickup/Delivery Driver - Wilmington Service Center

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Pickup/Delivery Driver to join our team at the Wilmington Service Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a passion for boating, and the ability to safely transport boats to and from various locations. Key responsibilities and qualifications include:

Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport boats to and from customer locations, marinas, and service centers.
  • Ensure boats are securely loaded, unloaded, and transported without damage.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers to ensure safe operation.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of trailers, boat launching, and docking when necessary.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring clear communication with clients regarding pickup and delivery times.
  • Maintain accurate records of transportation schedules, deliveries, and fuel usage.
  • Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols to ensure safe deliveries.
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and trailer.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with towing boats or other heavy equipment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of boating and marine equipment.
  • Ability to drive large vehicles and operate boat trailers safely.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Required: Active Driver’s License with a clean driving record; CDL preferred.
