Thursday, May 16, we’ll depart from Atlantic Marine in Wrightsville Beach mid-morning, traveling south through the Cape Fear River to Southport, then along the back side of the Brunswick County beaches. We’ll continue on across the state line and through the Little River swing bridge to LuLu’s on the water in Barefoot Landing for a late lunch and Happy Hour! We’ll tie up for the night just a few miles south of LuLu’s at the Grande Dunes Marina and stay at Marina Inn at Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach. There are several dining options within walking distance, including Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse.
Friday, May 17, we’ll depart early from Myrtle Beach and continue south, winding through the Waccamaw National Wildlife Refuge, passing just off the historic Georgetown waterfront and through Winyah Bay. We’ll continue behind the South Carolina barrier islands and out into the Charleston Harbor, just past Sullivan’s Island. Finally, we’ll head up to Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina. You can enjoy all the resort has to offer, take the water taxi or an Uber to downtown Charleston for shopping, dining, and cocktails, or just relax on the dock.
Saturday, May 18, spend the day anchored up at the Morris Island Light, take in a round of golf, travel up the Ashley River, or shop ’til you drop downtown.
Sunday, May 19, we’ll depart early from Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina and travel the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway back north. You will have the option to return all the way to Wrightsville Beach or stay over in Myrtle Beach Sunday night to break up the trip. (Charleston to Wrightsville is about 8 hours plus stops.) We’ll ensure your GPS map tracks are turned on so that if you choose to stop along the way, you’ll know exactly where to go.
Monday, May 20, if you elect to stay over in Myrtle Beach on Sunday night, you can return home Monday.

Guests are welcome to join you on your boat; in fact, we encourage it!
To participate in this trip, we will require that your boat be up-to-date on routine maintenance. You will also be asked to complete a pre-trip inspection of certain equipment, or Atlantic Marine’s Service Center can handle this for you.
Hotel accommodations are particularly limited on Thursday night at Grande Dunes Marina Inn. Many of our rooms will be two bedroom suites that share a common living room and kitchen. Of course, each private bedroom will have it’s own private bathroom off of each bedroom. We’ll make every effort to keep everyone comfortable and group those traveling in the same boat or group those who know each other in the same suite. If this is a problem, just indicate it in your registration notes below, and we will make every effort to make sure you are comfortable!
Atlantic Marine will collect the fees for this trip using your card on file when you book. Many of the rooms and fees are not refundable; however, if you must cancel, we will refund you any monies we are able to recover. We will use the same policy if we are forced to cancel due to inclement weather. In past trips, we have been able to refund 100% of the fees in the event of inclement weather, but we cannot guarantee that, as we are at the mercy of our vendors. If you cancel, and we are able to fill your space with another club member, we will refund 100% of your fees.
There is a ten boat minimum for this trip, meaning we must have ten boats to make the trip. If we are not successful in registering ten boats, we will refund 100% of your fees.
